Last weekend, we bought THIS. ...

thats right. half a FLAT. of strawberries= Devins Paradise.

so we spent the weekend frantically making as much strawberry things as we could!

Needlesstosay, it was a great weekend. I think the strawberries gave Dev such a high, THAT is why he called in sick on saturday! As a result, we got to go to Idaho Falls and do some Target /Kohls shopping:) i love when hes home! 

Happy Memorial Day everyone!! This weather is not working with us so it might just be a much-needed lazy weekend. Maybe well finish watching Lord of the Rings...I have been craving those movies for a while, and finally got my hands on one of em! just love em. 

Funfact: one year ago tomorrow, i snuck downstairs of the Rollender house in Arizona and kissed my handsome husband for the first time. Who knew a year later we would be sitting on our very own couch in our very own apartment...married!! weird. :)

Life update! We are MOVING in august. (just across town). (not out of Rexburg..yet!) We are upgrading to a 2 bedroom so that Ronald Clyde Stanley III can be our new roommate in the fall. I know what you're thinking, its going to be hard having an extra person so soon! But we LOVE our favorite cousin, and we are so excited to have him with us! I will be excited to have someone at the house with me when Dev is at work. Not to mention an extra mouth to eat all the food I have been making!! so. its happy.

My Fast Grad app was accepted! You know what that means? Only 3 more semesters (straight) then a couple internships for the Social Work program, and Im outta here!! the end is in sight and I could not be happier. 

Dev is doing good, too. Did you notice his hair? I pinned him down on Saturday night and shaved it all off! (okay, not really) We bought clippers and it was consensual, haha. I love that boy with short hair! ...i also love when he sleeps. :)

Hello!

So ill post some North Carolina piktures later. but right now im at work (dont tell the boss im blogging!) And i decided to update this little guy. 

(so many things have happened. i dont know how some people can do this everyday!!)

but for now, heres some funny phone pictures from the last week or so..

 I babysit Devin's cousin's babies on Wednesday mornings so she can go to school (connor is almost 2 and paisley is 2 months..they are so precious!) This week Paisley fell asleep on my chest while we were watching Barney! (see pikture below) I dont know about you, but i think having a baby fall asleep on your chest is just about the greatest thing ever. shes helping me with my baby-eidis :)

Last night we had our neighbors, Reggie and Janae, over for dinner and some games. (then we saw Avengers..ittttt was great) We ended up playing some Jenga. Reggie and Devin decided to be daredevils...they called it "making it fun" by taking out the sides first! Needless to say, Janae and I hated taking our turn after them. It was the most intense game yet! We had fun though, Im glad we have some married friends to hang out with us at the apartment!

well, im off to ashley's funeral.
Im glad im going, but i HATE that im leaving devin. (hes not very happy either). But its for the best. I hope this week will be six days full of family loving-ness and smiles.
nathan and i are driving 8 hours to st george tonight, and then the rest to LAX tomorro for our midnight flight to wilmington. COOL.
If youre in rexburg this week, pop in on my hubby and see if hes had dinner haha.

Life.

is really short.
I knew i shouldnt have got out of bed today !
This morning i heard the news that my cousin Ashley passed away..and all i can think of is that my familys life is on a downward spiral lately (with the exception of my beautiful wedding) i feel as if every time my phone rings it is something new and (dumb). what with the fire, and my parents bikes getting stolen...But this is the time to be grateful for what i DO have. 
-a (handsome) wonderful husband
- 2 jobs
-a roof over my head
-the gospel 
- food to eat
-amazing friends
- a heart that beats
..etc. :)
I havent been very close to Ashley in the last ten years or so since we have lived on opposite sides of the country, but she pretty much raised me when i was little and she was living in my house. She taught me how to swim ! I will always love her as my Abby. This one hit home even though I am trying to be strong. I am grateful that i was able to see her at the wedding and her beautiful 3-year old daughter, Genevieve. She likes to say "awkwarddddddd!" just like me :). 

Anyway. Im trying to figure out if it would be best for me to go to the funeral in North Carolina (and spend 6 days without my new hubby/working/school) or if it would be best to stay here..blah. idk. 


Im grateful for the gospel, and the knowledge that i have of the hereafter, and the atonement, and all the work that we get to do in the temple. What a blessing it is that Ashley will have the opportunity to choose to come back to the gospel after falling into temptation on this earth. My heart goes out to her sweet husband, Brian and the rest of the family. Im grateful that i was sealed for time, plus ALL of eternity to my best friend..so even when one of us leaves this earth...theyre stuck with the other forever, no escaping :) Its the best blessing there is.

ps. yesterday, Dev and i were walking to class, and he says, "i like your ponytail, babe." What i thought was a throw your hair in a pony day, he recognized as something special.

Ive Decided.

..to start a blog. It probly wont be as cute as the next one, but i have time! and thats what you do when youre a married woman right? 
So i hope you humor me in this and laugh when its appropriate (or not!)
Today is may 1st. my birthday was last weekend an my baby took me to olive garden and the mall to get some cool things :) It was a great 21st..but its the first birthday ive spent without my momma so i was missing her a lot. 


School is going great! im only taking 12 credits this semester, so my time is usually spent experimenting in the kitchen or cleaning the house..or working at the BYUI Equipment room..fun, right? Devin is hard at work all the time at Melaleuca and hes taking three, yes THREE lab courses! So hes all going, all the time. i miss him ALL the time..its a problem. But we are happy. 


Im just happy to be done with all the wedding plans. It was a great time to be alive, but im glad its behind me and now we get to relax in our new apartment :) ill put up pictures for you soon..once i get the hang of it. yay for being married !
